Nike x Roundel Air Max 1 ‘London Underground’

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the London Underground, Nike have collaborated with Roundel London on the iconic Air Max 1. Heavily inspired by the iconic upholstery patterns of the Underground Trains the shoe has been constructed using Nike’s newest technology, engineered woven jacquard which is uses modern weaving methods to produce a one piece fit, while the pattern inspiration dates back to Misha Black’s vibrant ‘Moquette’ design of the 1970’s. The shoe is sat on the iconic white midsole with visible air unit with a gum outsole and is finished with the Roundel logo woven on the tongue in black, black waxed laces, a black embroidered ‘swoosh’ to the sides and embroidered Nike branding to the heel.
